Software Consulting
Some projects do not require the actual design and implementation of custom software. Here are some projects I was involved in where just my consulting skills were needed.
Pioneer Counseling Services
This project involved working with the adminstration team and information technology team to refine their business requirements for an existing database application they used to track patient counseling. I helped the IT team understand what the users actually needed to make their workflow easier, and I also helped train the administration team on performing custom querying so they could analyze their data.
Program For Early Parent Support
This project involved working with their staff to define the needs for client tracking, donor tracking, volunteer tracking, and event management. Since there are many commercial products that cover these areas of functionality, I led the requirements definition and then product analysis for them. I reviewed 10 commercial and freeware products, and made recommendations on a solution. I've included the summary document and analysis spreadsheet for anyone to use. They are only current as of Fall 2001, so I'm sure there are many new products in this space.
